Obituary of Elmer John Tartaglia

Elmer John Tartaglia, 85, of Vineland passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2009. He was born in Vineland to the late Peter and Ediva (Ruberti) Tartaglia on August 9, 1924, where he remained a life long resident. A graduate of Vineland High School, Elmer served in the United States Army holding the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his enlistment he received the EAME Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. Before his retirement he was employed by the Vineland Electric Department as office manager for over thirty two years. Elmer was a member of the Diamond Social Club, an avid Golfer, and a handicapper, he enjoyed trips to the race tracks. He is survived by his first cousin, Frank Chinnici and his wife Philomena, Nephew, Angelo A. Cinnici MD, Nephew Frank Chinnici and his wife Mary, and Peter Chinnici and his wife Angela all of Asbury Park, a Niece and her husband Ed Buto of Pennsylvania, and six great great nephews and nieces. Elmer is also survived by cousins Ronnie and Rosalie Ruberti, and Cathy Ruberti Yeager of Vineland. He was predeceased by his brother Andrew Tartaglia and sister-in-Law Helen.
