Mrs. Posnak was my third grade teacher. She taught me how to write cursive. What an extremely bright woman and a marvelous teacher she was! I want to share an example that wound up being quite humorous and memorable. During recess Mrs. Posnak took her lunch break and left the class. A really laid back aide watched us. One day we were rough-housing fiercely during the break. One student kicked the bulletin board in the back. Mrs. Posnak used her wit to outsmart the culprit. She told us she wanted to see who had the biggest feet in the class and had us all out our right foot on top of our desks. She walked around and closely examined every shoe until she found the exact match. She congratulated the student with the "biggest foot" and had him go to the back of the room in front of the bulletin board where he left his dirty shoe print. The student was red-faced as she called out his misdeed. He was given a choice between standing in the corner with a shoe on top of his head for an hour or taking a trip to see the principal. He wisely chose the shoe. Fine detective work led to a very effective and appropriate punishment. He was a well behaved boy from that moment on, and it further cemented my opinion of Mrs. Posnak's genius.

We are Carol and Don...who were fortunate to experience many wonderful times in Atlantic City with Sandy and Dan. We remember with huge grins on our faces the hot summer afternoon that the 4 of us "relaxed" on huge casino beach bar lounges - laughing like kids at how much fun we were having - doing our Atlantic City reviews! Sandy always had the compact "mike" out for her interviews and ask the "right" questions...while Dan had his trusty camera - they worked together in wonderful sync. We will miss you're saving us a seat, never forgetting to ask. "how's Mom?" and your beautiful smile.

Dear Ruth and Edward and the family. Please accept my sincere sympathy at the passing of a exceptional woman. For many years your grandfather Sol Joseph and my father Joseph Amari negociated contracts for the Vineland Board of Ed for the busdrivers and cafeteria workers. Your mother was a household word for me and whenever we met or when I subsituted for her, it was like greeting a family member due to the bond of our parents. Sandi was a delight. I feel priviledged to have known here and felt her smile. May she rest in peace.

I'm shocked. I'd like to offer my family's deepest condolences. Sandy wrote several beautiful articles about me, and we kept in touch over the years by e-mail. What a beautiful person with a great heart and a talented writer. I know she communicated recently that she missed Dan dearly since he passed, so now she and Dan can be together again in the ever after. We'll miss you Sandy!

Dear eddie and Ruth, I was so surprised to read about your mother. I'll always remember how kind she was to me when, as a new teacher, I started working at Barse School. You may not remember Ruthie, but I was your second grade teacher. Your mom was so generous to me, always helping out with great ideas. She was a kind and loving person who adored her family. I wish there were words to say that could help you to feel better. Again, my sincerest sympathy. Marilyn Austin

Sandy exemplified the finest traits of any woman we know. We enjoyed reading her sincere and interesting reviews. We also enjoyed being in her company attending various press events. The loving relationship she had with her husband was admired by those who were in their company. Sandy made a lasting impression not only on us but on all those with whom she came in contact.

Dear Ed, Ruthie & family - thru working for your dad at Wheaton Plastics as a young lady I also came to know your mother and the two of you as well thru the stories your dad would tell -- when I met your mother years later she was just as warm and friendly as your dad and a pleasure to know -- I saw them on several occasions when they would come to my present place of employment, Precision Cars -- I remember talking to both of them last year when they stopped in for service on their car -- I was sorry to hear of your dad's passing and now that of your mother -- she was a wonderful lady, I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Sincerely, Janice Cavileer

I just read the obituaries and was shocked to see Sandy's name there. I attended school from the fourth grade through high school with Sandy's brother Jay. Needless to say, I remember Sandy and Beth from way back. Sandy was a kind, friendly and generous person. We will all miss her. Besides the kinship with the Joseph family, there's an additional connection. My niece, Anne Bertino, was a good friend of Eddie through high school and spoke of him often. Sandy and the family will be in our prayers. John & Rose Bianchi

To the Posnak Family, I was very good friends with Ed all during high school. Your Mom was always such a caring and warm person. I remember many nights when she took us in as her own. She made your home so warm and full of life. Although I have not seen her in many years, I will never forget the times spent with her. My love and thoughts are with you all now. Anne
