Alice was one of the sweetest ladies we know. We will miss our little conversations with her. She was always so upbeat and never wanted help. She was a doll! Now, you have another angel in heaven to pray for you. God bless you. Love and prayers, Rosalie

Great-Grandma Alice: My mom and dad keep telling me how fortunate I was to have met you on two separate occasions. Though I can't comprehend your passing at such a young age, I look forward to hearing the many stories about what a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother you were. Oh, and I will always remember to wear my socks... Love, your great-granddaughter, Isabelle Suzanne

Although I did not have the privelege of knowing Alice personally, I heard many stories from her Grandaughter Cara. Through Cara I came to know Alice as a strong, caring and loving woman who's devotion to family and community will be greatly missed. With my deepest sympathy, Cheryl DeLong

The Lord has taken up to Himself a wonderful angel. She was truely a wonderful sister and friend. She will be greatly missed and may she rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus. To Judy & Mariann may the ground be light where Mom sleeps. We loved her but God loved her more and took him to his Mansion in the sky. Love, Aunt Lydia, Uncle Ben & Gini

Dear Judy and Dan, Marianne and John, and all beloved family, We were so saddened to read of Alice's death on Thursday, but heartened in that you all were there for her and that she was an amazing woman of faith and so filled with love. I always looked forward to my visits with your mom and grandmom over the years. She shared. She listened. She told many stories and always with a most pleasant smile and always with love and concern for you and a deep and abiding love for her beloved George. I know you will miss your mom and grandmom greatly in the months to come. I will miss her and the special friendship we shared. But it is so gratifying to know that she is now at peace with the Lord and that she has helped lay a foundation in your lives of peace, love, joy, faith, unity with one another, and lots of laughter. We will keep you all in our prayers as you celebrate Alice's life on Tuesday in Garfield. May God comfort you all with the love of the Lord Jesus in the many days ahead. Our love to each of you. Pastor Dan and Bonnie Leslie

How do I let my mother go? How do I say "I'm ready now to go without you"? How can I ever have a clue what that really means? And all of a sudden, the moment is upon me, and there is no turning back. And then I know what grief is....and guilt and LOVE and things undone. Try to prepare and I will fall in some way, be it subtle or looming...But there is peace too. Peace and acceptance and overwhelming love that I maybe wasn't aware of. Waves and waves of conflicting emotion, laughter, and memories I hadn't bothered lately to recall come flooding back in shared company..and it's all about you MOM..And there's gratitude..so much of that, that I have you, such a wonderful MOTHER...Bright and shining, nobody's fool, independent, but humble too; Smart, kind and fun. Adventurous....A part of you has passed away, but much is carried everyday within me, and will as long as I am here. This may be a final tribute, a day to celebrate your life and say goobyes, but it's not final. Everyday I'll celebrate in some way, just by the virtue of how you shaped my life, the absolute and incredible fortune that I knew you as a MOTHER, a FRIEND and a WOMAN. I Love you forever. Judy

Gram, You are an amazing woman who started and ended your journey here on earth with such grace, dignity, faith, and love for all. God welcomes you with open arms into His kingdom, and you can now continue as a saint lighting the way of hope for all of us to come. Your friends and family will continue to embrace your spirit, and we will always remember the wonderful times we shared and memories that were made throughout your prosperous life. May your soul be set free now, and your new journey in Heaven begin. Please say hello to all of our loved ones that have gone before us, and rest peacefully knowing that we will meet someday. Love Always and Forever, Your Granddaughter, Cara
