it's amazing how fast our youth eludes us..physically anyway. but seeing everyone reminds me...and takes me back..to the best time of my life...where we lived every day with a laugh ....wether it was davon's giggle...debbie's cackle...dawn's grin....i ..now remeber it all ...like it was yesterday. dom at the shop working on a project ..or davie trying yo invent something...who could forget that light rack!....your mom ...aslleep with her mouth wide open ...and the tv on.....and...especially this time of year....what i wouldn't give to get hollered at by your dad...just one more time......i miss those days.......jeeze!....or should i say.......monte sonte!!!....we're all getting old....it'd be great to sit around and tell all those old stories...and eat uncooked cookie batter!................G

Everyone has fond memories of how welcoming the LaCombe home was. Jeanne always said, "Make sure you get something to eat," and it was her Christmas lasagna that was my first taste of real home-cooked Italian food. I was hooked, and the LaCombes had one more mouth to feed on Christmas, but Jeanne never complained. My fondest memory of Jeanne was her love of old movies. Like my mother, she would fill Debbi and me in with their names and the details of their lives, as if the Hollywood archive tabloids were opening up before us. I got quite an education from those late B & W films nights on Doren Terrace. Unlike my mother, she never chased us to bed, so I felt a special freedom there. Jeanne had her quirky ways, but to me, she was always welcoming and generous, and I will remember her always.
