Obituary of David Kemenash

Rone Funeral Service 856-691-4222 David Kemenash 71, of Vineland, passed away Saturday, Octoer 2, 2010 in Thomas Jeffeson University Hospital in Philadelphia. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Dave was born January 23, 1939 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Vasil and Mary Kemenash. His family later moved to Milmay, NJ where he lived most of his life. He attended Vineland High School and Cumberland County College. Dave was known at a young age as "Cadillac Dave". He had a vision for buildings and various types of construction. In 1969, he started his own construction company, D. Kemenash and Assoc. He designed and built one of the first concrete curb forms which could produce several thousand feet per day of curb, back in the 1970's. He became very successful, well known and respected in his industry. He specialized in building runways for our military up and down the east coast, such as Dover Air Force Base, McGuire Air Force Base and also Mayport Naval Station in Florida. He always loved big equipment and eventually started his own heavy equipment rental company. He also loved designing and building water theme parks, he ultimately owned and operated two beautiful theme parks in Texas. Dave had a big heart to all types of charities-too many to list. He helped anyone in need, even if he did not know them. He helped many small business firms throughout his life. Dave had a lot of so called toys in his life - the best of cars, trucks, big equipment and yes even his own jets. But the most important of all, he was the true believer in God; and his family was everything to him. He is survived by his beautiful wife Kathleen Pilla Kemenash, his lovely daughters Lisa and Mark Barcia, Nicole Kemenash, Kathy Crescenzi and Davina Levari, his precious grandchildren Melissa, David, Katarena, Rosalie, Kenny, Mia and Marco, his sisters Mary St. Clair, Olga Carroll and his brothers Michael Kemenash and James Kemenash. If the world were made up as Dave Kemenash, what a beautiful world this would be. Dave will be sadly missed by everyone.
