Robbie was a gentlemen with a big heart and a smile the lit up the entire area around him. I first met Robbie at South Jersey shooting club with I shot my first IDPA match. I struggled at first but with Robbie's compassion and patience I made it through the match. His dedication to making sure I knew what to do helped me to keep coming back these last 8-9 years. I was at his last match at Quinton and he still kept up with the much younger guys setting up, taking down, and running his squad. He was such an inspiration and I will never forget him and his big smile and laughter.

My thoughts & prayers are with Robbie's family and friends at this difficult time, I don't have memories of my cousin, but it sounds like he was an amazing man!

A meeting that was noted in the Tupper Newspaper with Tupper Lake Police blocking the crossing in honor of the occasion. Two trains met at the siding in Tupper Lake, Rob Palmer, Engineer; Ed Fuhr, Fireman on one, Charlie Palmer, Engineer; Judy Fuhr, Fireman on the other. One of many great memories. Moving work trains at night with wildlife crossing in front of us was another, and an unforgettable trip moving a steam locomotive from New Hope, Pa.

I will never forget working on the Adirondack Railway with Robbie, one occasion in particular. Robbie was taking an engine as far as Tupper to check for beaver damage. I went along and he let me run the engine. Biggest thrill ever and a once in a lifetime experience with a special friend. He and his Dad, Charlie, let our daughter, 8 years old, act as fireman when switching cars in the yard. They taught her what information to call out. She rode along frequently in the engine with them.
