Obituary of Sigmond L Ronis

Sigmond Lawrence Ronis, a Korean War Veteran, passed away on May 19, 2022. He was a lifetime resident of Vineland, NJ since his birth on July 4, 1931. He is the son of the late Elias and Goldie Ronis and the brother of the late Naomi (Ronis) Testan. He served with the 98th AAA Gun Battalion during the Korean War. He was an active member of the Korean War Group, Korean War Veterans Association, and the Vineland Veterans. Sigmond was a social worker for the State of New Jersey. His caring heart took many children out of bad situations and placed them into caring homes. He stayed connected with many of those children throughout the years. Sigmond will be forever missed but never forgotten. His kindness and jovial sense of humor will be remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of being in his company. Sigmond loved nature and animals, especially cats. Sigmond leaves behind, Carmella, his beloved chicken who he rescued when she fell off the truck heading to the slaughterhouse.
