Nadine Abowitz posted a condolence

I have known Ziggy from my teenage years. He and I attended many JCC Singles events at the Wilmington (DE)JCC. We had fun conversations. He would share stories about his life in Vineland. Spoke highly about his cat and chickens. I remembered when he told me that he bought a bungalow on Elm Road, and I know he remained there for many years. From time to time, he would tell me he had floor to ceiling newspapers accumulated and could never figure out how to get rid of them. Rest in peace my friend. Nadine Buzgon Abowitz, formerly from Chester, PA now living in Lititz, Lancaster County, PA

My dad was very good friends with Ziggy. But my dad passed away in 2014. I don’t live in Vineland anymore and my mom has passed away too. So I just saw this. I know it’s a bit late but my dad and ziggy talked all the time. He was a very nice person. We wanted to do something so we gave to the no kill cat sanctuary. My dad would always ask how’s your cat. He never mentioned a chicken though. My dad’s name was Jake. It’s sad every one I knew especially my parents are gone. Anyway, I know he did a lot of good. May they all rest in peace. Fondly, Louie and Roxanne Sutton

Whenever and wherever we saw Mr. Ronis, he never failed to ask how our kids were doing and commend my husband for keeping our yard in "good shape". A pleasant man & a very careful driver.
Rest in peace, Mr. Ronis.

I’ve have the pleasure on knowing Sigmund for the last several years, took him to services Friday nights and holidays , help him move , mow his lawn and got to know his cat and his 3 beloved chickens that he always asked to check on them or drive him to his property so he could see them , feed them and make sure they were ok . He was a truly unique person always fun to be around . Got to see him about 3 weeks ago and he was still had his sense of humor which was great to see . He showed me around his home area a lot, places he hung out at as a teenager, stories about his younger days , time in the service and shared his love of animals. He will be missed

We knew Sigmond for several years. He was our next door neighbor. We would talk often as we went about coming and going. He always made a fuss over our little dog. Sometimes he would stop in for coffee and a cookie. He was always a gentlemen and very pleasant. We will miss him. May he rest in peace.

Sigmond gave me this picture of Carmella and Spots years ago, and it's been on my desk ever since... it always makes me smile.
He will be missed by many ... he was a kind soul.

On Nov. 28, 2019 I had the honor of meeting Sigmond. I am so glad our paths crossed. I was at a Veterans Thanksgiving Dinner handing out pies. We clicked right away. There’s a reason why our heart connects to certain people more than others. Sigmond left a lasting footprint on my heart. I hope I made his life a little brighter.❤️ Elissa Darrow
