Obituary of Janet S Bertino

Janet S. (Jupin) Bertino of Mt. Ephraim, passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2021. Before her retirement Janet was an award winning new homes saleswoman for builders in the tri-state area. She excelled in her field with her bright smile, warm heart and thorough knowledge of her industry. Knowing exactly what her client's needs and wants were, even before they did in some cases, was one of the keys to her success. "Cookie" as she was referred to was the fourth of seven children born to the late Joseph & Anita Jupin. Janet grew up the "Farmers Daughter" on the family farm in Dorothy. She would tell her children and grandchildren many stories of her life on the farm to their delight. She passed on many tips for growing our own home vegetable gardens. Cookie was an excellent home cook, baker and host. Her family looked forward to her amazing holiday dinners all year long. Little known facts: Cookie was one of the first women quarter mile drag racers! (With the trophy to prove it) She was also a Sears swimsuit model in her teens. Cookie was a great dancer and loved music. Above all else, she was a loving and devoted mother, whose great joy was spending time with her family. She will be missed beyond measure. She was survived by her three beloved sons, John of Haddon Hts., Ronnie & wife Jamie of Wenonah, and Ken of Cherry Hill; her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Ferrese & husband Frank, John Bertino & wife Christine of Cherry Hill, Jim Bertino of Haddon Twp. and Kyle Bertino of Wenonah; adored great- grandchildren, Frank & Tom Ferrese and John Bertino of Cherry Hill. She was also survived by her best brother Joseph Jupin Jr of Dorothy and 3 sisters. Janet was predeceased by her parents Joseph & Anita Jupin and 2 sisters. Everyone is required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status. A CHURCH visitation will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 9:30am to 10:30am followed by a funeral mass beginning at 10:30 am from Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
