Obituary
Obituary of Frank Sauro
On February 22, Frank Sauro Sr. born in Brooklyn, New York in 1941, finally hit his last home run and made it to Heaven. He absolutely loved the LA Dodgers & watching baseball! This was one of his hobbies along with many other things like fishing, hunting, collecting things & playing video games with his grandson's.
What he loved most of all is going to the flea market and buying other peoples junk and taking it home to his wife Fran, only to get yelled at for buying it. He was married to Fran for 54 years & they loved doing everything together and always having family around. He loved entertaining his children & grandchildren by telling them the craziest stories of his younger years. He was a crazy, funny and loving husband, father, grandfather & great grand father. Frank was a very quiet man but a big people person and loved to talk to anyone, once he got started talking to you he never stopped. He absolutely loved listening to his music on his old-time record player and very much loved all types of music, especially the oldies but goodies. His most exciting times were when his son's would bring him tickets to pro baseball games & collecting Phillies trucks that his sons would bring him as gifts. He was a big-time collector of many things. He absolutely cherished moments spent with his son's and enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren especially watching them in shows, playing video games with them, along with playing bingo for money (only). He loved playing cards on Saturday nights with his sister's, brothers, nieces and nephews. This was one of his favorite things to do, along with casino trips to Atlantic City.
Frank worked for Garwood Mills in Vineland, and with Shield Alloy Metallurgical in Newfield NJ. After retiring he ended up working for BP Mobil part-time just to keep himself busy.
He leaves behind to cherish in his memory, his wife of 54 years Fran Sauro; his children, Tina Cline (Chris), Frank Sauro Jr. (Elena) Anna Lozano (Adam), Patricia El-Bey (Will) and Eddie Sauro; 12 grandchildren, Amanda, AJ, Eddie, Will "Pookie", Kobe, Sage, Christopher, Austin, Marisa, Krista, Jasmine & Desi; four great grandchildren, Delilah, Amaris, Brayden, Delani & baby Mia Nicole is on the way. He is also survived by one brother Anthony Sauro, and his sisters, Liz Agliano & Angelina "Cookie" Sauro and her husband Dennis Morgan.
