Dear Walter's family and friends,
my name is Aleš Kalousek and I'm from Czech Republic (ex Czechoslovakia), where Valtr Bejkovský (Walter Bacovsky) comes from. My grandmother Štěpánka Choděrová (nee Padriánová) was in written contact with Walter until the end of her life in 2001. She was close to Walter's sister Helenka and also to Walter during Walter's dramatic departure from Czechoslovakia right before the war. Despite never seeing each other again after the war, they remained lifelong friends.
Dear Walter's family, I am happy to express my sincere condolences to you, albeit with such a delay.

My father was a very generous man who told me often, "One should give with warm hands." And that he did. He will be sorely missed. Love, Joe

Dear Faye & Joseph, I'm very sorry for your loss. I remember your parents from the time I was a child, they were always great neighbors & friends to me & my Mom, Betty.

My sympathy to the Bakovsky family. I knew and swam with Walter at the Vinland YMCA for many years. He was a wonderful person to be associated with.
