To Christina's family, I just learned of Christina's passing and wanted to send my deepest sympathy to her family. I knew Christina at Chestnut Hill College and when she lived in the apartment in Chestnut Hill. I even have 2 of her watercolor paintings. I always hoped I would see Christina again at one of our reunions. I always liked her so very much...she was a beautiful person inside and out. I am again so sorry for your loss and will pray for Christina and for all of you. Fondly, Diane Heverline - DeWitt

HI Chris, I've been missing you so much. 10 years I spend working for you were life changing. I lerned a lot from you, from handy work to art and life filosophy. As both artist we have so much in common. Destiny have taken you from us, but what we had shared will never be taken away, our relationship is alive and still nurishing. Thank you a lot Chris!

I remember Christina from my childhood days. Our fathers had been best of friends since their childhood years. We would visit all the time at each others homes. I was the only boy in a group of 6 girls, my three sisters and Christina, Lisa, Anita. We all played games together as kids and all went to Sacared Heart School. I lost touch over the years, but Christina always had a big heart and big dreams. She will be missed but not forgotten. She has been called home to our Lord God.

Dear Granny Anne, Anita, Lisa, Lewis and Family, I cannot even begin to put into words how shocked and sorry I was to hear about Chris' passing. I have so many fond memories of all of you from Mom's days at the Courtyard, and I still love to tell people that I got to pose for an artist and take the painting home! Chris was really a joy and could always bring a smile to your face. Her creativity was inspiring to me, to become a writer. Even though I cannot be there in person to hug you all, I hope this little message from Germany will somehow suffice. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Jennifer

Henry: I only met Chris once, but she impressed me as a beautiful, warm, loving woman. She loved you dearly and had great patience with some of your eccentricities. I am so sorry Henry that she has left you and her family at so young an age. My deepest condolences. Sincerely, David Ahl

All of us at Fairholme Capital Management send our heartfelt condolences to the Emerson and D’Ippolito families and desire for you to know that Chris with Henry gave life to our struggling, young firm with their words and insights in Outstanding Investor Digest - read by today’s great investors. We will always miss Chris, but never forget her – her smile, kindness, and those 2AM editorial reviews! Beyond work, we know she also made a real difference in this world and we will honor her memory by also making a difference at Covenant House.

A defining attribute of the Chris I knew for over 11 years was that she saw the best in people. By that I mean not that she was blind to their shortcomings, but that she seemed to be drawn instinctively toward their strengths. And with that came a strong desire to encourage and nurture what was best in people, and be singularly patient with what was worst. She did not "give up" on people. The more I see of the world, the more I find that to be a rare and precious virtue.

I never knew Chris as well as I would have liked. She would always greet me as if at a party even though it was the most chaotic day (or night) at work. I was lucky enough to taste her wonderful cooking a couple of times and wanted more. She would offhandedly mention a book she had read or a movie she had seen but there would be no time for the real conversation that was hinted at. While she was so busy, her art was a way to get to know her better. The full gallop at which she drank in life was captured in the sweeping strokes of her painting; the work of a rich, energetic and sparkling mind captured for later contemplation. I will always associate Chris with her paintings, the wild colors of a brilliant sunset with fast moving clouds constantly altering the palette into something new and then over too quickly.

Ann and family, I am so sorry to hear of Christina's death. I have fond memories of my time at The Courtyard, and often share my admiration of the schools philosphy with other educators. I remember Chritina's participation at the multicultural program. It is so difficult to loose your children. I will pray for you and your family. Sincerely, Karen
