Obituary of John Herman Gibbs

-- John H. Gibbs died on April 27, 2019. Born November 30, 1936, in Camden, NJ, to Francis Munford Gibbs and Margaret Herman Gibbs. Graduated Hamilton High School in 1954, B.S. Trenton State College in 1959, and M.A. University of Wyoming in 1966. Taught at Ewing High School in early '60's, worked as editor for Collier's Encyclopedia, taught at Elmira College, and, in 1967, began a long career at Cumberland County College in Vineland, NJ. Predeceased by his parents, Francis and Margaret, his brothers William, Barclay, and Francis. Survived by a much-loved niece, Barbara Gibbs Lowe, of Howardsville, Virginia, nephew Barclay W. Gibbs III, of Silver Spring, Maryland, and nephew William Gibbs, of Hamilton, NJ. Also survived by sister-in-law Elaine Gibbs, of New Hope, PA, grand nieces Carson Elizabeth Lowe, Katherine Elyce Lowe, and Vivienne Gibbs, grand nephew Noah Gibbs, and close friend Dolly Marciano, of Vineland, NJ.
