Obituary of Dorothy M. Mattioli

Dorothy "Dot" Mattioli,88, a longtimme Landisville resident passed away peacefully on the morning of July 1, 2018. She was born in Mayfair to the late George and Mary Whitten and moved to Landisville in 1946. She worked amny years alongside of her husband Louie at Mattioli Hardware Store, the family owned business. Dot was a cashier all her life starting at Penn Fruit at an early age and continuing to the then newly-opened Showboat Casino where she began work after the death of her husband. Dot was well known for her Christmas cookies that family and friends anxiously awaited every year. Also every Halloween children in the neighborhhod looked forward to her famous candy apples. Besides spending time with her family Dot enjoyed the beach in Sea Isle, playing pinochle and the casinos.
