I was making a special effort to contact the family of Dot to send my condolences, and to bring you some comfort from the scriptures which I found to be consoling with a wonderful hope for the future. Notice what it says in John 5:28, 29, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." Also, Revelation 21:4 says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." So this is very encouraging what God promises for the future, and in God's appointed time we will see the reality. Please visit the jw.org website for answers to many Bible questions. Again, my condolences for your loss.

My deepest condolences goes out to Dot’s family. She was like a grandmother to me. I worked with Dot for many years at the Showboat Casino. She would bake me my own personal batch of her famous pecan ball cookies. She also mailed me a batch when I relocated to MS from NJ. Dot was a great person who will truly be missed. Prayers to her family with my deepest sympathy.

With deepest sympathy to the Mattioli family on the passing of Dot. We worked together for many years at the Showboat. That being my first job out of college Dot was a great inspiration and voice of reason to me in helping me to learn. I'm still upset that when everyone else was waving around the cookies that I never got any although I'm sure Big Lou got his share......
