Obituary of Joseph A. Corbo

CORBO, JOSEPH ANTHONY DDS 84 of Galloway NJ passed on Saturday Nov. 14th 2015 at home with his family. Born in Jersey City NJ, he attended St. Peter's Prep & College and graduated as Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Maryland Dental School in 1956. He served in the US Army as Captain from 1956-58 as a dentist. He served the community as a Dentist for more than 40 years in Millville NJ and was one of the first dentists in South Jersey to introduce a high speed dental drill to his practice. He was proud to be associated with the South Jersey Hospital System for more than 35 years performing oral surgery. In 1994 he received recognition of his "Service to Humanity" by the SJ Hospital System. He started his career at Baltimore City Hospital before establishing his roots in Millville NJ. "Doc" immensely enjoyed the many summers spent in Ocean City, NJ with friends and family. He relished spirited debate about politics and current events, following the stock market, playing poker, horse racing, Italian food and music. He also very much enjoyed the time he and June spent in Palm Springs CA during retirement. Most of all he greatly loved and provided for his family.
