Obituary of William James Holman

William James Holman went home to be with his Lord on 09/17/15. Born in Phila, Pa on June 26,1928 to Frances Connor. He lived in Atlantic City until he entered the Air Force in 1944. He was honorably discharged in 1948. He married Elizabeth Ann Fleck on December 2,1950. He raised ten children with "Betty". Cecilia Ann (O'Connell) Holman, Lucy Ann (Mayers) Holman, Billy, Gerry, Rich (Bart), Matt, Andy, Pat, Ray, and Tim. He is survived by fifty grandchildren and six great grandchildren. After Betty died in 1979 he remarried Mary Ellen Leisling (Holman) on October 4, 1980. They resided in Turnersville and later moved to Sicklerville. Bill loved watching sports especially the Phillies, and in 1980 he was finally able to celebrate the team's first World Series victory. When his children were young he would take them to the beach where he taught them all how to "Body Surf". He loved to play golf and probably "took" the first three foot "gimme". He also was an avid bowler. He accomplished both a hole in one and a 300 game during his prime. He could hold a conversation with almost anyone; loved to laugh, and loved to quiz his kids about the 'Oldies". Daddy you will betremendously missed.
