I went thru some old documents and found a letter hand written by Mrs. Borden after she retired. She talked about her family.
I was one of her students that she put so much love and time into, and I am very thankful she did. She did not give up on me or any of her students. She wanted us to do, and be our best. She would not let us give up on ourselves. Mrs. Borden was a very special woman and teacher with love and compassion for teaching us. I was one of her students that would get out of hand from time to time as most kids, and she would have no problem putting me back in my place. Hahaha. I needed it. I will always remember Mrs. Borden. I think i still have my graduation gifts of a glass mud with my name Bill on it and a very small red pocket knife and nail file. She told me to not tell anyone about the knife.
I remember one project very well she helped me and the student Robert with. The Hindenburg Disaster. Had to make the Hindenburg airship from a ballon base with paper mache over top it, and a report. I was not good with reports, but we won the local Science Fair in school to go to the next stage of judging. She was proud of us two.
You will not be forgotten for all you done in my life. I would like to thank you again. I believe you touched all of your students lives in a positive way. Heaven is blessed to have you. May God be with your family.
PS I am sure she would correct this text, and point out all the things I have done wrong, trying to helping me to be better at it.

I was making a special effort to contact the family of Maryann to send my condolences, and to bring you some comfort from the scriptures which I found to be consoling with a wonderful hope for the future. Notice what it says in John 5:28, 29: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." Also Revelation 21:4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." So this is very encouraging what God promises for the future, and in God's appointed time we will see the reality. Again, my condolences for your loss. Please check out the jw.org web site for answers to many Bible questions.
