Obituary of Paul Testa

Paul Testa was a life long resident of Vineland and most recently the Veteran's Memorial Home in Vineland. He was born in Vineland on February 17,1915. He attended Vineland Public Schools and graduated from Vinelland High School in 1934. While in high school , Paul was a varsity letterman in football, baseball and basketball, where he earned the nickname "Bull". In the fall of his senior year he scored the first touchdown on the opening day game of the new Gittone Stadium. He attended Temple University on a football scholarship and later went on to serve in the United States Army as a lieutentant. In 1946 he went to work for Automotive Parts of Vineland. He became the store manager and worked there until his retirement. Paul passed away surrounded by his loving family June 1st at South Jersey Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Paul was amember of Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed playing golf and was a past member of Buena Vista Country Club. He was an avid sports enthusiast, but his main passion in life was his family, friends and his neighbors on Vassar Place, where he was known as Uncle Paulie to all the children who grew up there, especially his nephews and nieces Rodney Ragone, Paula Menzoni and her children Ashley and Blaise Menzoni. Paul was predeceased by his wife of fifty two years, Rose ( Onorato) Testa, parents Giacinta (Jean) and Justino (Steve) Testa and brother Frank Testa.
