Ever since I was a little girl, My Aunt Netta was always someone very special and dear to me. My mother often told the story that when I was five years old, I became angry with her and stated rather emphatically that I was leaving home. So I packed my suitcase and headed down Franklin Street. Of course my mother came after me and asked, "and where do you think you're going", to which I replied, "I'm going to My Aunt Netta's". She let me go only so far and then came charging after me. I loved my Godmother (my little "cumadre")--after all, I am named after her! I will miss her. Love, Annette Marandino Rudd
