Obituary of Bernice Seibert

Bernice (Kellmayer) Seibert, beloved mother and grandmother, sister and friend, longtime resident of Vineland, passed suddenly January 21st. She was a dedicated educator and administrator working in the Vineland School system for over 40 years. She was also active in the local community on the Board of Shirley Eves Foundation and United Way. A garden enthusiast, she volunteered as a Master Gardner for the County Cooperative Extension Service. Bernice was born in Bridgeton, NJ, the daughter of Charles and Elmira (Garrison) Kellmayer. She graduated from Bridgeton High School and attained both Bachelor and Masters Degrees from Glassboro State Teachers College. She was a lifelong learner and continued her education in many ways including summer courses at Harvard University and, participation in local book clubs, and classes in gardening, Thai cooking, sailing, local history, astronomy and bird watching. Bernice is survived by three sons Michael J. Seibert and his wife Rhonda Seibert, Charles K. Seibert and his wife Robin Seibert and Richard J. Seibert and his wife Alisa Blitz-Seibert; six grandchildren, Cristina, Nick, Melanie, Allie, Zachary and Trenton; two sisters Elaine Barber and her husband Richard and Mary Ella Turner and many friends and colleagues who loved and respected her. A chapel visitation will be held on Friday, January 25th from 12noon to 2 pm follow by a service at 2pm at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Internment will in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton, NJ.
