Obituary of Irma Scarpa

Irma A. Scarpa 98 of Vineland passed away Saturday evening at South Jersey Healthcare HospiceCare in Bridgeton. Born in Newtonville, NJ to the late Joseph and Eva (Vandevort) Bloomindale, she had been a lifelong area resident. Married to the late Frank J. Scarpa for 68 years, Irma had worked for Leggits Canning Co. in Landisville and then worked and retired from Rose Brothers Clothing Co. in Vineland. She was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish-Church of Sacred Heart, and St. Barbara's Chapel and also a member of the Main Road Fire Department Ladies Auxillary. Irma was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed caring for her family and had enjoyed many trips around the country and abroad. She is survived by her daughters and husbands; Thelma & Walter Bucikowski, Barbara & Frank Gana and Carole & Tom D'Amato. Grandchildren; Marianne (Tony) Bagliani Walter (Zhakelina) Bucikowski, Susan Bucikowski, Cheryl Bucikowski, Christine (David) Salerni and Janeen (Jose) Cruz. Great-grandchildren; Joshua Cruz, Eric Bucikowski, Andrew Cruz, Glen Bucikowski and Nicolina Salerni. Also a brother John Bloomingdale and sisters-in-law Angelina and Anne Scarpa. Irma is also predeceased by brother Joseph Bloomingdale and sisters Evelyn (Leo) Palmonari, Carrie (Louis) Moratelli and Blanche (Bill) Laye. A church visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, from 9:30 to 11:00 at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish-Church of Sacred Heart 1010 E Landis Ave. Vineland, NJ 08360 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am in the church. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
