Obituary of Frank J. Santagata Sr.

Frank "Boots" Santagata Sr, 82, passed away Monday, December 1, 2008, in South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland. Born to the late Joseph and Margaret (Mauro) Santagata, he was a life long Landisville resident. He was a 1944 graduate of Vineland High School and served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. Frank was employed for 35 years by the Delaware River Port Authority in the accounting department. He was a member of Queen of Angels Parish in Buena Borough, the Landisville Social Club and the American Legion Post #270. He was a commissionerof the Landisville Fire Company and served on the board of the Buena Boro Housing Authority. He is survived by his daughter Michele "Mickie" Watson of Landisville, his son and his wife, Frank Jr. and Denise of Buena and daughter and her husband Joann and Jim Pruitt of Landisville, his b rother and his wife Joseph and Kathy Santagata of Landisville, sister Dolores Andrews of Minotola, six grandchildren: Ryan and wife Melissa Watson, Ashley Watson and companion Greg, Dominic and wife Doinna Santagata, and Heather and Jamie Pruitt, two great-granddaughters, Marissa and Alissa Watson. He was lovingly known as "Uncle Buddy" was his many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many cousins. He was predeceased his brother Samuel Santagata, his wife Josephine (Ferrara) Santagata and great-grandson Alexander.
