Obituary of Anthony J. Sangataldo

Anthony J. " Tony" Sangataldo, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, May 12, 2009 surrouonded by his loving family. Born in Vineland to the late Ralph and Grace (Musso) Sangataldo. Tony had been a lifelong Vineland resident. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and was the recipient of European African Middle Eastern Medal, WW II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal and The American Service Medal, a very proud veteran. Anthony retired in 1981 from the City of Vineland Public Safety Department, a division of the Police Department where he was employed as a traffic maintenance foreman for many years. His hobies included painting and wallpapering, gardening and his lawn care and cooking, especially his deep dish apple pie. He loved large family gatherings Tony was a good hearted soft spoken man who lived for his family and his beloved pet dog Penny. Visitors will be received on Saturday 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Rone Funeral Service. A funeral liturgy will begin at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church.
