Obituary of Margaret Louella Rudd

Margaret Louella (Trevarthen) Rudd, a lifelong resident of South Vineland, passed away peacefully at South Jersey Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Margaret was the daughter of the late Louella (Short) and William Trevarthen. margaret was predeceased in life by her husband of 40 years, James W. Rudd; three brothers, Albert, William, and Stuart Trevarthen, and a sister Violet McCaffrey. Margaret was a graduate of Vineland High School class of 1933. She was employed for 27 years by NJ Bell Telephone and later Verizon as a switchboard supervisor. Margaret was a lifelong member of South Vineland United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Cornish American Heritage Society and a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed traveling, gardening, working crossword puzzles, and researching the Rudd and Trevarthen ancestries, which she has documented to the 1500s. Margaret is survived by her son, James M. Rudd and wife, Annette, of Vineland, granddaughterKelly Amato and her husband, Riccardo and granddaughter Jamie Rudd of Vineland, great-grandchildren Giovanna and Christopher James Amato, as well as many nieces and nephews.
