Hello,
I am a 1988 graduate of Mrs. Rochetti's LPN class and am just learning of her passing on 5/20/2019. Everyone thought she was a "tough cookie" as a teacher but I truly appreciated everything she taught us, every encouraging word she gave me and the time she took out of her life to to make sure we were the best educated and best equipped nurses. She had a standard of excellence and great expectations for her students that could not be beaten. I can remember her standing with a clenched fist shaking in the air, yelling at me in a high-pitched tone, "...You have a gift!" They were the best words of encouragement ever spoken to me! I will never forget her!
My sincerest condolences to the family!!!
Former Student and nurse,
Valarie Reese

I was one of Mrs. Rochetti's nursing students. I graduated from her program in 2004. She was a wonderful woman. I learned a lot from her. She gave me a chance to do nursing when no one else would. I hope whereever she is that God is taking care of her and I bet Mrs. Rochetti is smiling down at all of her students that she taught in her 41 years of teaching. She made all of us the nurses that we are now. She will be missed and her legacy will live on forever.

Dear Rochetti Family, I just wanted to write and tell you how very sorry I am for your loss. Mrs. Rochetti inpacted so many lives in her years of teaching. I was one of her students and was very greatful to have known her. I was a graduate in the class of 2007. When I started working, my supervisor said, "Oh, one of Mrs.Rochetii's nurse's well you are going to be good." Let me tell you what a reputation to live up to. I feel like I have to do well to not let Mrs. Rochetti down. God Bless each of you. She may have been tough, but she was truly an inspiration. Sincerly, Andrea Lucas

Some teachers simply tell you what they know, a true teacher instills in you what you need to make yourself a better person. She was one of the few true teachers. Nursing has lost a great lady.

I was one of the students blessed to have been in her class. I graduated in 1995. Mrs Rochetti was a formidable nurse, passionate about the profession--she took great pride in being a nurse. Her greatest pleasure was watching us succeed as we followed her direction. Mrs Rochetti was both strict but fair, demanding but kind, and was, simply, a joy and a delight. I visited her on occasion after having graduated, and she was gracious and ever willing to continue to be a source of help and guidance. She stressed dignity, fidelity, and love of the important things, most of all family. How often she would discuss the need to love what matters most--and family was at the top of the list. I could go on and on about how great this lady was. My condolences to the family members who have had the privilege of knowing and loving dear Mrs Rochetti throughout their lives. May she rest in peace, and may her legacy of elevating the practical nurse to a level of pride, always continue. I will miss her.

Bill, Bill Jr., and family, I am very sorry for your loss. Please know that Gloria was an extraordinary woman with amazing talents. Always proper, always prepared, and always present. Not one to be in the spotlight, she quietly transformed potential students into polished nurses. And she did it without braking a sweat. Her reward was seeing her students excell. She truly was the greatest teacher the Vineland Public Schools will ever see. She was my teacher as well as my friend. I'm grateful for the 35 + years of memories. There will always be a special place in my heart for Gloria. I will miss her so. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Mrs. Elaine M. Greenberg

I first met Mrs. Rochetti when I was 17 yrs old when I began the LPN course as a senior in high school. She challenged me to understand the art of nursing and began my lifelong love of our profession!! I left the course for personal reasons but was given a second and third chance and finally graduated with an desire to practice in the same field as my mentor. She was tough and expected nothin but the best nurses in her class. She believed in me and me the chance I needed. I joined the military 2 weeks after graduating her class. I guess she helped prepare me for boot camp in a way! I got my Associates degree and soon emergency nursing. I have worked as an Asst Manager of an ED at a level 1 trauma center and today I am a director of an Emergency Department. I owe a part of my sucess to Mrs. Rochetti for giving me the start by giving me a chance. Thank you for your contribution to the profession of nursing. There are thousands of people touched by the nurses you created. Your light will shine forever! Tonight I will light my graduation candle in your honor. God Bless.

Words can barely express the gratitude that I feel for having known Gloria as a teacher, mentor, friend and coworker for 27 blessed years. She touched me, and so many people, in such positive ways. We did so much together, worked hard and had so much fun! She loved her family and her cats, icecream, and of course, her "little sweeties, her students. Nursing was her passion, and her passion was contagious. I feel so lucky to have known such an amazing person who inspired so many. I love you Gloria, you are always in my heart. I agree that you have joined all of the other Angels in Heaven. My condolences go out to her wonderful family who cared for her so lovingly.
