Obituary of Erna Riesenburger

Erna (Julius) Riesenburger 92, of Marple Township Pa. and formerly of Vineland, died Saturday August 11 2007 in Martins Run Life Care Community. She was born in Konigsbourg E. Prussia Germany and a long time resident of Vineland before moving to Marple Township. Along with her late husband Julius, Erna co-owned and operated a poultry farm for many years before becoming involved with the sales of Avon products for a number of years. She was a life member of the Hadassah, the Beth Israel Congregation, its Sisterhood and the Hebrew Womens Benevolent Society. Erna enjoyed operating and organizing the thrift shop of the Benevolent Society here in Vineland. In the early sixties and seventies she was a member of the Beth Israel Choir. Some of her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, and traveling with her late husband. Her doors were always open for friends and family to gather for meals and good conversation. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchilden.
