Millie Recchio, 86, of Piney Hollow departed this life on July 26, 2007 and South Jersey Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family, and went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband, Anthony. Millie was born and raised in Waterford Works. She met and married Anthony in 1942 and together, in Piney Hollow, owned and operated a successful farming operation, Recchio's Perennial Gardens. Millie will most be remembered for her horticultural expertise and guidance, along with her vegetable and fruit gardens, dried flowers, food canning and freezing, homeade ricotta cheese, love of nature, her generosity to multiple friends and family, creative arts and crafts, bingo, and zest for life. A good heart and concern for all, no one ever left her home empty handed. She continued this generosity even during her residency at Genesis Eldercare in Millville. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
