Obituary of Margaret Recchio

Margaret (Pacitti) Recchio, 89 of Minotola and formerly of Piney Hollow and Turkey Point, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at the Jefferso Hospital of Neuroscience. She was born on May 3, 1920, in Turkey Point, NJ to the late Louis and Mary Pacitti. Marge attended Dividing Creek Elementary School from 1925-1935. She then went to Bridgeton High School and graduated with the Class of 1939. In addition to working on the family farm, she worked at Owens-Illinois in Bridgeton from 1940 until 1945. Marge Pacitti married Patrick Recchio of Piney Hollow on December 8, 1946. She moved to his farm in Piney Hollow and lived there until 1999 when she moved to the senior complex at Parkview Gardens in Minotola. While living at Parkview, Marge was a member of the Parkview Gardens Associations' Executive Board as well as formerly serving as an officer. She chaired the Greenhouse Project Fundraiser, and was crowned "Parkview Gardens Garden Queen" for her leadership in this fundraiser. She was also amember of the St. Padre Po Parish Senior Club. Last year the Buenad Historicla Society honored her as Citizen of the Year for her dedication to community service. Marge had a genuine love of life and love for people and family. All who knew her commented on the strong positive influence she had on people's lives. She loved learning new things and being with others. A strong pinochle player, Marge also loved Bingo, movies travelling aof of course - the Atlantic City casinos. She is survived by her four daughtes, Roseann Mooney and husband, Bob, Pat Phillips and husband, Rusty, Louise DiBiase and husband Ronnie, and Margie Sullivan and husband, Don. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Donnie Robbins and Wife Janie Rayan DiBiase and fiance Michelle DiCicco, Kevin DiBiase, Justin DiBiase and Tyler Sullivan. In addition, she has two grat-grandchildren, Korin and DJ Robbins. In addition to her parents, Louis and Mary Pacitti, she is predeceased by two brothers, Nick and Joe Pacitti, and four sisters, Alisha, Anna, Louise and June Pacitti. Donations in her memory may be made to the Jeffeson Hospital Dept. of Neuroscience or Parkview Gardens Association, 600 Central Avenue, Minotola, NJ.
