Ronnie was my stepbrother. His father, John F. Polillo, was married to my mother, Gerri. Although I did not grow up with Ronnie or his siblings, I will always remember him as a very kind, reasonable, and highly intelligent person. Our father was very proud of him and his many achievements. We lost touch over the years since our dad passed away in 1986, but our family has many fond memories and extends our deepest heartfelt condolences to his family. Sincerely, Gerri and family

Dear Marion, My heart goes out to you and the children. I have such fond memories of Ronnie. He was the very first person to strike up a conversation when I arrived at LCMRHS in 1961. A handsome guy with a wonderful smile. You two were so lucky to find one another! My love to you and your family. Madonna

Ron plucked me out of Texas years ago, opening many doors and making it possible for me to contribute to our shared mission and passion in meaningful ways. He was a true leader, mentor, and most of all, a great friend. Going above and beyond was standard for him and he will never be forgotten by those whom he touched - and we are many. I can only offer my sincere condolences and prayers for Marion and the kids.

I remember very clearly the time Ron asked me to accompany him driving down and back for a meeting at the FAA HQ in DC. He was a very amusing travel companion with a fine sense of humor and the time passed very quickly. I am not a big fan of long drives but he made it enjoyable. Steve

In high school "Ron" was "Ronnie" and he had a bright smile, an easy way about him, was a great athlete, and an all around nice person. I was with Marion at our high school reunion when she and Ronnie met up again for the first time in many years. The sparks were immediate and the rest is history.
