I loved his stories and he always made me smile and laugh. I will miss him very much and will always think of him when I call the brokerage. God bless you all!

I met Dennis my first week at WTC in 2001. I was talking to him on the phone and I thought, who the heck is this guy?!? He asked me if he knew me from another company and we found that we had both worked at Merrill Lynch in Philly in the mid to late 80's. Within an hour of speaking he walked down to the Plaza building to meet me. We didn't know each other back then but there was an evident connection from the past and we reminisced of many coworkers we hadn't seen in years. Two weeks before Dennis passed away I spent a lot of time with him regarding computer issues and we got to joking around about all different things, even our health issues. I saw him the Thursday before he passed and was also glad that I had resolved his computer problem. He was great to hang around with and I will always look in the glass to see if I can see his reflection looking back and waving.

I was very saddened and completely shocked to hear of Dennis passing away this past Sunday. We would always trade barbs and sarcastic remarks whenever we saw each other at work, whether in the cafeteria, or him flipping me the "bird" through the Brokerage window! He certainly was one-of-a-kind and I thoroughly enjoyed the banter. He was a genuine person. Out of habit, I find myself glancing over at the Brokerage window on my way out of the building somehow expecting to see him sitting there. He will surely be missed. RIP-Greg.

Dennis was one of the first people I met at Wilmington Trust, and I am very fortunate because of that. Even just meeting him, you felt like you had been a friend for years. No one at Wilmington Trust could make me laugh faster. So many times when walking through the lobby, I'd bang on his window and we'd make faces at each other, and that always put a bright spot into the day. How empty that window will always look now. Til we meet again, Dennis.

The cliché of "things won't be the same without you", is literally true in this case. Dennis had a presence and uniqueness about him that was palpable. When I first met him, I was intimidated, but gradually I figured him out. When he made fun of you, you had to give it back times ten, and he would love it. I saw a lot of myself in that. I could write all day so I'll just say this. Dennis was funny, honest, loud, obnoxious, adventurous, smart, kind, sweet, and genuine. You are missed, my friend.

"Hey Book baby", he'd yell across the room. "Give me a hug." He loved it when I refused. The longer I held-out the better. He loved the chase as much if not more than the hug. I'd usually give in before the end of the week. Once he got his hug, he was satified. I miss his hugs already. RIP Dennis, I love you too.

I will never forget the first day I started in Brokerage, and met Dennis. I couldn't remember everybody's name, but I remebered his, because he was such a character. He would always say "Hey Tootse", and make me smile everytime. I can still her him walking into the cahier's office and saying "Ladies" very loud. He could crack you up one minute, and was always there to listen if you needed to talk the next. When Dennis found out my dad was sick, he told me he would say a prayer and light a candle in church for him. It was just the kind of person he was. Wilmington Brokerage will never be the same, and I am going to return the favor and say a prayer in church and light a candle for my friend Dennis.

I work at Wilmington Trust and interacted with Dennis periodically. He had a great personality and a great sense of humor. Last year I took my mother and children to the Padre Pio festival in Vineland NJ and we attended mass there before the event. My mother and family both have a devotion to Padre Pio. I was surprised to see Dennis at the mass all the way down in Vineland as I did not know that he was from that area. As I transferred to Philly from Wilmington last year, I have not talked to Dennis. Except that last Thursday, I called him to place a few trades. He was jovial as usual. This past Sunday, we received " Padre Pio Bread" from a woman. When I arrived at work Monday I was saddened to hear that Dennis had died but took comfort in the timing and coincidence of receiving the Padre Pio bread.
