Obituary of Michael Blase

Michael J.Blase, Sr. Colt Industries, Chief Specifications Engineer Michael J. Blase, Sr. passed away on March 29, 2007, at South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland. Michael was a Hartford High School graduate in Hartford, CT. He attended the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. Michael was employed as chief specifications engineer for Colt Industries-Chandler Evans Division in West Hartford, CT. Prior to his retirement, he was a review appraiser for the Department of Transportation State of Connecticut. Michael was a lifetime member of the American Ordinance Association, National Association of Review Appraisers, and American Rights of Way Association. He was a life member of the Hartford-Lafayette Lodge No. 88, A.F. & A.M. in South Windsor, CT. Michael was also a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and a Shriner. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. He is survived by Wife Sharon (Plahy) Blase Vineland, NJ Son & His Wife Michael J. & Linda Blase Jr. Avon, CT Daughter Trudi Devnew NC Grandchildren James & Karen Blase Grandchildren Traci & Travis Devnew Visitation will be held on Monday, April 2, 2007 from 7 to 9 pm, at Rone Funeral Service. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am from Lutheran Church Of The Redeemer, 2384 E. Landis Avenue, Vineland. Interment will be on Wednesday, April 4th, at 1pm in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford, CT.
