Obituary of Louis P. Panzino

Louis P. Panzino of Vineland, NJ passed away suddenly at South Jersey Regional Medical Center on Saturday, March 3, 2012. He was 28 days shy of turning 91 years old. He was born in Braddock, Pa and came to Newfield, NJ at the age of 20, where he married Flora Marie (Rovito) Panzino in 1941. Louis joined the Army in September 1942, his military record included "Qualification in arms" and excellent transfer to enlisted in the reserve corps. He was awarded a certificate of testimonial for honest and faithful service to this country. After the service, Louis had an impeccable work ethic throughout his life which included working in the coal mines in Pa, and Ed Camble Block, in the 1950's Louis and his wife owned a luncheonette called "The Rondevu" on Landis Ave., he worked for many years at Green Giant until they moved out of Vineland, he also worked at Ed & Alba's News Agency, and as a security guard. Louis enjoyed watching Western movies, watching birds and squirrels eat from the feeder, and cooking for family and friends. In 1976 Louis' son Joseph, and wife Beverley, founded God Is The Answer Ministries, and Louis and his wife Flora, helped them prepare and distribute food to those in need on a continual basis. This outreach ministry is still in operation today, which Louis and Flora were such a vital part of for over 30 years. Louis is predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Mary Frances (Nagar) Panzino; his sisters, Mary (Panzino) Desiere , Lena (Panzino) Wargo, Theresa (Panzino) Costanzo, Jennie (Panzino) Zitz, Helen (Panzino) Morrell, Josephine (Panzino) Dionisi, and Anna (Panzino) Martincich; his brothers , Frank Panzino, Michael Panzino and Salvatore Panzino Jr.; and his son, Salvatore (Sammy) Panzino. He is survived by his wife, Flora Marie (Rovito) Panzino, his daughter, Angelina (Panzino) Andreoli, and husband, Ben Andreoli, his son, Rev. Joseph Panzino and wife, Beverley (Brady) Panzino, his grandchildren; Ben Andreoli Jr. and wife, Janine Andreoli, Nancy Panzino, Barbara Ann Panzino, Linda Joann (Panzino) Cohen, and husband, Dave, Lisa Ann (Panzino) DiNunzio and husband, James, Laura Ann (Castagnoli) Panzino, and husband Larry, Kathy Ann Crerend and huband, Ken, Pat & Frank Allen, 8 great-granchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law, Antoinette Panzino, and a brother-in-law, Mel Martincich and daughter-in-law, Fran Panzino. Funeral services will be private for immediate family. Graveside burial services will be held at Arlington Cemetery.
