Obituary of John Olivio Sr.

John Olivio Sr., 88, of Vineland passed away quietly on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Bishop McCarthy Residence in Vineland surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Angelina Smaniotti Olivio. Mr. Olivio was born in Rosenhayn and was the son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (D'Amore) Olivio. He attended the Rosenhayn School System and was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Paris in Vineland, John was also a member of the Moose Lodge, North Italy Beneficial Assn., and South Jersey Healthcare Life. Mr. Olivio was a self emloyed general contractor and an avid farmer known for his broccoli rabe and strawberries as well as his homemade Italian sausage and wine. He enjoyed spending time in Ocean City with his children and grandchildren. John is survived by two daughters, MaryAnn Olivio of Vineland; Janet Headley and her husband Ronald of Vineland; one son John Olivio, Jr. of Watchung; two grandsons Ryan and Jarrod Headley of Vineland; one granddaughter Lisa Bethune of Myrtle Beach, SC and one great grandchild Hensley Bethune. Also surviving are two sisters, Marian Capaldi and her husband Louis of Port Norris and Rose mary Gaburo and her husband Morris of Bridgeton; two brothers Anthony Olivio and his wife the late Emily Olivio of Vineland, Bernard Olivio and his wife Josephine of Vineland. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law Jane Olivio, and Mary "Tootsie" Lovisone; a brother-in-law and his wife Louis Smaniotti Jr and Leah, and many nieces and nephews. Along with his wife Angelina, he is predeceased by two brothers and their wives; George and Dolly Olivio, Joseph and Esther Olivio and a brother Daniel, a sister and her husband Katherine and Rudy Favretto, and sister Jennie Olivio.
