Obituary of John P. Mokriy

John Mokriy, 91, of Pittsgrove, beloved grandfather, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2008 surrounded by his family. Born in Salem to the late Peter and Tillie (Poluch) Mokriy. He resided in the home he built for the last 55 years. He served in the US Army during WWII. John had a colorful and diverse career working for the FBI , and supervising for the Delaware Ordinance Depot. He was a self-employed Carpenter and retired from the Norma Feed Mill. John was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts, especially Indian arrowheads. He took great joy in caring for his home and garden, but his greastest joy was spending time with his granddaughter and her husband and his three great grandchildren. He is survived by his grandaughter and her husband, Dawn and Adam Truett, and three great grandchildren, Rhyan, Carly, and Reid Truett all of Pittsgrove. He was predeceased by his wife, Clara (Zalinskie), daughter, Darlene, and brother, William.
