Obituary of Licia Mattioli

Licia Mattioli, 88 passed away on Monday, January 25, 2010. She was born in Bologna, Italy to the late Edmondo and Margherita Galletti. There she met and married Delmo Mattioli. After the war they came to America and began their life as a young couple. In America Licia met and embraced her American family and loved them deeply. Licia and Delmo had two children;a daughter Margaret and Marina. Licia worked as her husband's office manager for a number of years. She was a devoted mother and wife. But of all her many accomplishments perhaps she will best be remembered for her couraeous approach to life. Throughout her life she repreatedly faced debilitating physical challenges She never complained nor bemoanded her fate and she was a deeply religious woman with a strong faith. She accepted what was given her and was happy to be part of our lives. She taught us more than she ever will know about endurance, faith, courage and love. Licia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
