Obituary of Marie Marcacci

Rone Funeral Service 856-691-4222 Print for Tuesday with photo Marie Dauito Marcacci, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 18, 2010; a devotee of Notre Dame (St Rose of Lima) Parish of Newfield. She was the daughter of the late William and Rachel (Scarpa) Dauito. Marie enjoyed spending time with family, friends and dog Chica. She loved growing orchids, taking trips to the shore and cooking for her weekly pasta night. Marie's favorite "leisure" activity, however, was working whether it is in the yard, house, or every morning side by side with her son, Jimi at Jamar Market. She was a life-long member of the Ladies Auxillary of North Vineland Fire Hall; a former employee of the Vineland School system and the center of so many lives. She was devoted to her family and was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to so many people. She is survived by her three children, daughter Janice and her husband John Sherman; daughter Barbara Lagg, and son James and his wife Diane Marcacci, Jr.; five grandchildren Gina Rehm (Tony), Kim Wargo (Steve), Kristin Lagg, Michael and Jessica Marcacci; great-grandchildren Nicole Kinkade, R.J. Santini, Dylan and Drew Wargo and Tyler Rehm; sister Sarah and her husband Jules Armellini and brother Bud Dauito. Marie was predeceased by her husband of sixty-two years, James Marcacci, sister and her husband Vange and Romeo Gelsi and sister-in-law Phyllis Dauito Marie lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed every breath she took until the very last one. She will be missed dearly and loved and remembered forever. Funeral home visitations will be held on Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm and on Friday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am with a funeral mass to follow at 10:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 104 Catawba Ave., Newfield, NJ.Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
