Obituary of Vincent C. Law

Vincent C. Law, 83, of Vineland, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center, Vineland after a brief illness. Born in Philadelphia, Vince attended Overbrook High School. he proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1947 and received the Victory and American Area medals. He served on the USS North Carolina (BB55) and enjoyed many reunions with his Navy shipmates. Vince was a retired machinist and metallurgist in the iron core industry and was a master at his trade. Vince was a resident of Vineland since 1971 when he moved from Glenolden, Pa. A member of Sacred Heart Church, Vinced loved music and shared his love for Frank Sinatra with his family. He was a member of the American Legion Post 82 of Millville and was the former president of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles (F.O.E.) Vineland Aerie 2369, where he loved to provide service to charities. He was an active member of the Cumberland Riflemen and helped train many youth in the Junior Rifle Program. Vince was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his early morning talks with his CB buddies.
