Obituary of Harry Kurtz

Harry Kurtz, 90, of Ladnisville, passed away September 30, 2008, at home aftera brief illness. He was born in Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Marie Kurtz. Harry's service began with the second draft in 1941, and he served as staff seregeant for the 28th Field Artillery Medical Dectachment in France and Germany until his return to the Unisted States in June 1945. His records are filled with commendations from his commanding officers for his bravery and the diligence of his performance. In 2000 Harry was presented with congressional recognition by Frank LoBiondo and Nick Asselta with citations for honorably serving in the name of freedom and peace. He also received The Federation of French War Veteran Liberation of the "Provence of Normandy" Recognition Medal for outstanding and invaluable service to the USA during World War II. He was employed at Jersey Panel Corp. of Vineland for several years.
