Obituary of Sharon Kopyt
Sharon Kopyt, 84 of Vineland passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 suddenly at her residence. Born in Pohorylce, Poland to the late Nissan and Rachael (Kanner) Schreiber before moving to New York. A Holocoaust survivor, Sharon escaped Poland and fled to Prague along wiht her mother, father and sister, losing her father to German gunfire, the family held out in the forest for years before being deported to safety. In the late 1940's Sharon met and married her late husband Robert Kopyt while in New York then moving to Vineland where they began working in the Poultry industry. Sharon and Robert later became Co owners in the Delsea Bakery berfore owening and operating the Liss Bakery on Landis Avenue. A member of the Haddassa, Sharon was a generous supporter of the Holocoaust Museum the Jewish Federation, and of Israel. A devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, the world revolved around her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son and his wife Dr. Nelson and Andrea Kopyt of Allentown PA. a daughter and her husband Toby and Ely Feinberg of Vineland, granddaughters and their husbands; Miki and Matt Tayor, Alison and Karl Knutson, Jami and Daniel Dajman, and Stacey and Charlie Wehr.
Sharon is predeceased by the love of her life, husband Robert Koypt in 1995, her sister Carol Schwarz and her late husband William Katz.
