Obituary of Mary Baruffi

Mary "Aunt Mary" Baruffi ,80, of Buena died suddenly Wednesday August 12, 2008 in the South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland. She was born in Lizzano, Italy to Arturo and Elvira Baruffi before moving to Vineland in 1930. After graduating Vineland High School, Mary left Vineland to spend most of her working years in Newark, NJ. She was the first female Sales Representative for AlItalia Airlines, where she spent 37 years and built wonderful friendships with travel agents all around before her celebrated retirement in 1989. Mary was an accomplished tennis player, a world traveler, and a self proclaimed pinochle champion and philanthropist. She loved playing cards, traveling, singing, cooking and social functions of all kinds. Known by all as "Aunt Mary", she is survived by her brother Dominick Baruffi Sr. of Minotola, a host of wonderful friends, and numerous nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces, many of which were her favorite. Mary was predeceased by her brothers, Albert, Joe, John, Ezio, and Gino Baruffi and two sisters, Anita Baruffi, and Julia D'Arrigo and also by Marco, her cat.
