Obituary of Aline Lelli

Aline Lelli, 91, of Vineland, N.J., passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Jan. 1, 2025, after a long illness, with her beloved husband, Bob, by her side. Aline was born and raised in Vineland, one of three daughters of Henry and Mary (Bertolla) Martini. From an early age, she displayed a love of sports and a competitive spirit. A graduate of Vineland High School, Class of 1950, Aline was a standout basketball player and remained active in athletics throughout her life. After high school, she developed a passion for bowling, earning numerous trophies that reflected her dedication and skill. Aline met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Lelli, at a members' dance at the Moose Lodge. The two married and shared a lifetime of love and devotion that spanned 73 years. Together, they worked at their family business, Automotive Parts Co. of South Jersey, t/a The Napa Store. Their union was described as a true love story that cannot be matched. Through Bob and his parents, Jules and Elizabeth (Lib) Lelli, Aline discovered her talent for golf, which became her favorite pastime. She excelled at the sport, achieving an extraordinary three holes-in-one during her golfing years. Aline was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Mary (Bertolla) Martini; her in-laws, Jules and Elizabeth Lelli; her sister, Gloria Rochetti (Martini); and her daughter, Jacqueline Lelli. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jules Robert (Bob) Lelli; her twin sister, Elaine (Martini) Barsuglia; her children, Robert C. Lelli and wife Dorian, Karen J. Lelli, and Patricia VandeSype and husband Henry; her grandchildren, Kristin (Miller) Andolaro and husband Jeffrey, Jaime (Schenck) Wuillermin and husband Michael, Tiffany Miller, Kyle Lelli and wife Taylor, Henry VandeSype and wife Laura, Meredith (VandeSype) Truesdale and husband Donavan, Adrian Lelli, and Steven VandeSype and wife Allie; and eleven great-grandchildren. Aline will also be deeply missed by her best friend, Joan Becker, and many others whose lives she touched. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Lydia, Nadia, Tanya and Donna for their compassionate care. Aline will be remembered for her incredible cooking and baking, especially her pies, which brought joy to family and friends. Her legacy of love, determination, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Services will be held privately for immediate family.
