Obituary of Taylor M Brown

Taylor Brown, 44, of Newfield, New Jersey, was born at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia in 1980. He passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Cooper Hospital. Family and friends were at his bedside to express their love and say their good byes. He refused to lose and fought until his last breath. Survived by his parents, Marita and Gary Brown; his fiancé Tina Magliocco and his brothers Damon (Melissa) and Sawyer (fiancé Eliza). Taylor was a loving and loyal son and brother and for Damon and Sawyer, their mentor and best friend. Taylor had immense pride and love in the lives and achievements of Damon's children, Hudson and Leo Brown. They too have lost not only an uncle, but a friend who was always there for them. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and former teammates mourn his passing and he will never be forgotten and missed always. He graduated from Buena Regional High School in 1998 and was a wonderful and highly respected athlete in the southern New Jersey area. Taylor was a fierce competitor and Co-Captain of the basketball and baseball teams. A high scorer in basketball, he led Buena to top rankings and several titles in baseball. In 1996, he pitched and batted Vineland American Legion to a state championship. His high school and American Legion teammates remained friends forever. He was recognized throughout the southern New Jersey area with many honors and awards for his achievements; SJ Group II and All Conference, Atlantic City Press and Vineland Daily Journal All Star teams, Carpenter Cup and Garden States Games among many others. In 1995 he played in the AAU National Championship, Millington, Tennessee, for the Tri State Arsenal select team. Taylor's favorite season was the summer where he loved the beaches of Ocean City, the shore night life, and taking his friends and family on his boat exploring the bay and coastal water ways. He loved sitting on the Stenton Place home porch with his mother listening to the summer rains. He was at peace. He especially enjoyed annual vacations to Manual Antonio, Costa Rica with his mom and dad. Beautiful beach days, four wheeling excursions with Tina and wonderful sunset dinners were his joy. Taylor traveled the United States and visited many European capitals with his parents, brothers and fiancé Tina. Taylor loved all varieties of music and he was one of Bruce Springsteen's biggest fans. He attended Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York, on an athletic scholarship, graduating in 2003, with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and communications. Taylor blessed everyone who knew him with a larger than life persona, a caring, generous and unselfish gentleman who touched forever the lives of everyone who knew him. A funeral home visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 9am to 12pm followed by a funeral service at 12pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland.
