Obituary of Nicholaj "Nick" Kirey

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nick Kirey of Millville, NJ. He passed away suddenly, yet peacefully, on September 18, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was 68 years old. Nick was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 19, 1956, but spent most of his life in Millville, NJ where he raised his family and worked as a groundskeeper for the Millville School District. He was passionate about playing, coaching, and watching sports. He was known for his competitive spirit both on and off the field. He is survived by his sons Andrew (Gina Kirey) and Nicholaj (Danielle Kirey), the mother of his children, Kim Kirey, his sister, Helen Shollenberger (Scott) and his beloved nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Aubrey, who was the light of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents Vladimir and Tamara Kirey. A funeral home visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 10am to 12pm followed by a funeral service at 12pm at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will be private.
