David P. Sherma, formerly of Landisville, passed away on September 1, 2024 at home. David's story began in Cherry Hill, NJ in 1975. His story from there was divided into two parts.

The first part saw David graduate from Sacred Heart High School in 1993 and continue on to his 1995 graduation from a local law enforcement academy. He remained in his hometown to serve his community in the law enforcement field until 2012. He ascended the ranks in the department and represented his colleagues and family in both local and state arenas. He remained in Landisville with his wife Lauren and daughter Francesca. He spent time with his family, his friends and his colleagues. He smiled, he helped, he served and he achieved throughout the entirety of this first part of his story.

The second part brought a different storyline, one that David did not intend to write. Those close to him - family and friends - know that he would have changed it if he could…

His daughter Francesca, former wife Lauren, his sister Sheryle and her husband James, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles join his close friends in continuing to tell the best parts of his story. David was predeceased by his mother and stepfather, Arlene (Dillon) and John Sherma.

A funeral home visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18th from 6pm to 8pm at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Burial will be private
