Obituary of Gloria E. Rossi

Gloria E. Rossi, a devoted wife, beloved mother, and adoring grandmother passed away surrounded by family on August 22, 2024, after a long battle with dementia. She was a wonderful, kindhearted woman who was always there when you needed her most, offering an abundance of love, support, and wisdom. Gloria was born in 1938, to O'lindo Grotti and Gemma Lanzi Ellis. She graduated from Vineland High school in 1957. On September 27, 1958 she married the love of her life Eugene L. Rossi Sr. Together they had 65 years of love, family, and happy memories. She spent her life in Vineland where she took immense pride in raising her three children. Gloria worked at Prudential Insurance starting as a night-shift keypunch operator and ultimately being the supervisor of three divisions before she retired in January 1997. She was loved by all those who worked with her and for her. After retiring she and her husband traveled the world on countless cruises with friends. In between voyages she enjoyed entertaining by her pool. She was the heart of her home, and everyone was always welcome. Gloria loved and cherished her family and friends. Affectionately, called the "great pudding" by her daughter Linda, she was an excellent cook who enjoyed cooking and baking for the countless family gatherings she hosted. You never left Gloria Rossi`s house hungry. Along with cooking, she enjoyed going to church, painting, crafting, and spending time with her great granddaughters. She will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her. Gloria is survived by her children Eugene L. Rossi Jr. (Roberta), Deborah Santoro (Paul), and Linda Rossi (Louise). Additionally, she is survived by her grandchildren Stephanie Rossi, Caroline Giblin (Paul), Shaun Madigan, and Danielle Dixon (Wayne); her great grandchildren Emily, Eva, and Erin Giblin, Gavin and Connor; her brother Frank Grotti (Liz); her sister Vicky Baxter; her sister-in-law Jean Marie Herman-Rossi; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Eugene L. Rossi Sr, her parents, her sister-in-law Geraldine Gardella and bother-in-law Robert Gardella Sr. A funeral home visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 9am to 11am followed by a funeral service at 11am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
