Obituary of Margaret Maggioncalda

Margaret Maggioncalda, 87, of Vineland passed away on August 9, 2024 at her home. She was born in 1937 to the late John and Leona Casazza and grew up on her family's farm on Landis Avenue. Margaret studied at Glassboro College to become a teacher. In 1966 she became the elementary school principal for the Buena Regional School District. In 1972 Margaret married Austin Maggioncalda at St. Mary's Church and they settled into their current home on Chestnut Avenue. Margaret was passionate about her responsibilities to educate and guide her students. After retiring from the school district, she continued to help out on her mother's farm and also support Austin's accounting business. Margaret was very involved in both the initial planning and volunteering at the St. Mary School. She was a generous and loving member of her church and local community. Margaret enjoyed making homemade ravioli, cookies and pizzelles to share with family and friends in her community. She is survived by husband of 52 years, Austin Maggioncalda. A funeral home visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 9am to 11:30am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A funeral mass will be held at 12pm from Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery, Vineland.
