Obituary of Joanne A Oliva

Joanne A. Oliva, 80, of Buena passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, July 9, 2024 at home. She was born in Mays Landing to the late James and Anna Oliva. Joanne worked for many years as a hairdresser. She enjoyed going to the casinos, doing crafts and loved baking, she was known for the best banana bread. She especially loved and enjoyed going to Walt Disney World and down the shore with her grandchildren. Many would remember Joanne for her beautiful smile and the sparkle in her eyes. She is survived by her companion of many years, Ben Dunn; six children, Vince Solazzo (Kathy), Gina Allewelt (Thom), Angela Schwegel (Adam), Carla Hissam (Don), Brad Salmons (Serse) and Megan DeTetta (Danny); 12 grandchildren, Brittany, Gabe, Alyssa, Heather, Adam, Chad, Ellie, Charlie, Oliver, DJ, Devin & Jenna; 14 great-grandchildren and her sisters Shirley DeRossi and Debbie DeTetta (Lou). Along with her parents she was predeceased by her brother, James Oliva. A funeral home visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 1pm to 3pm followed by a funeral service at 3pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Final disposition will be private.
