Zelick Ashin Obituary
Zelick Ashin, 97, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 2, 1927. He is survived by his children, Joy Ozer (Alan) of Elkins Park, PA and Moshe "Mark" Ashin (Yehudis) of Jerusalem, Israel. He is also survived by his beloved seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Zelick was a lifelong resident of Vineland, NJ. He was a lover of music and tended to an extraordinary vegetable garden. He worked many years at Food Fair and Pantry Pride as a meat cutter. He is an honorable veteran of the Korean War. He was a long time member of the Jewish War Vets and Sons of Jacob synagogue. He always had a song to sing or a joke to tell and was famous for his sought after pickle recipe. He was loved by all that knew him.
A graveside service and burial will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 2 pm at Alliance Cemetery, 970 Gershal Avenue, Norma, NJ 08360.
