Obituary of John V Taormina

John V. Taormina, 89, of Vineland, NJ, Stuart, FL and Bethesda, MD passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024. Born in Queens, New York, John was the third of three children born to the late Rose, and Vincent Taormina, the co-founder of Progresso Foods. John was active in the leadership and direction of Progresso Foods until the company was sold. He later went on to establish T&T Freezers, a cold food storage company in Vineland, NJ. John graduated from the University of Georgia and was a passionate Georgia Bulldogs fan. He was a season ticket holder to the Philadelphia Eagles, thoroughly enjoyed his home in Florida, had a great love of cooking, the sport of golf, and cherished every moment with family and friends. John was the loving husband of Toni Taormina; the proud father of Ro Taormina, Lisa Himmelfarb (Steve), and the late Vincent J Taormina; caring grandfather of John Taormina, Christie Bleyer (Jordan), and Sami Himmelfarb. He is predeceased by his sisters Carolyn Rhoades, and Catherine Masilotti. At the request of the family, services and entombment will be private.
